G’day and Welcome to Our Blog About Camping & Caravanning in Australia

Thanks for wanting to find out a bit about us. We’re David And Amanda Sloane and this is our blog. We’re Aussies. Proud Aussies. And we aren’t ashamed of it. We started our blog as a place to share our camping and caravanning photos and trips around Australia along with tips we have learned. Hopefully you are inspired to get out there and explore this great country, if after having read this blog we can influence just one person to get off their arse and go out and explore Australia then we consider it job done.

We’re not full time travellers (yet) so for the last ten years we have tried our best to get as much travel done in Australia around the time we have available. Annual leave trips, weekend trips and long weekend trips are how we roll. We love the bush, we love the beach and in particular we have discovered over the past five years that we really really love the Australian outback. When we’re not out exploring Australia we’re generally thinking about where we are going to go to next.

Being based south of Sydney Australia means we haven’t had a chance to go to Cape York or outback WA as yet, but that’s coming. So far though we have been all over NSW, all through VIC, had many beach and outback trips to QLD and have been to SA many times both beach and outback.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is driven by the idea that we reckon nobody ever lies there in their bed with just a few weeks left to live thinking about all of the times they spent sitting in front of the tv binge watching a TV series. No. Not us. We want to be able to look back on our lives as we get towards the end with great memories of all of the places we have been to and the great people we have met. You can’t get that without getting out and about.
